About The Fillin' Station Bar
The Fillin' Station started off as a Shell gas & service station back in the 1960s. The front walls were actually glass bay doors and service pits occupied the area under the main floor of the bar. Long time friend & customer Talkin John Sonntag pumped gas & ran the cash register as a teenager for Jack's Shell Service. By the early 1970s, the gas station had been sold and converted to a bar, simply named The Pub.
In 1984, a new set of owners, knowing the history of the building, nostalgically changed the name to The Fillin' Station.
FILLIN STATION By the time the bar's name had been changed, long-time employee Annette Barresi had already been working here for two years. 2017 will mark Annette's 35th year working at The Fillin' Station. She's seen four different owners & befriended countless patrons during her long tenure.
FILLIN STATION BAR & GRILL 49434 In 1999, Big John took over operations, and a new chapter was being written in Fillin Station history. Loved and adored by all his patrons, Big John's influence is still felt years after his death in 2010, at which time his son John has brought us to the modern day Fillin' Station.
The FILLIN'STATION Bar & Grill Family owned now for 17 years, The Fillin' Station Bar & Grill continues it's long history as a staple in Chesterfield Township for neighbors & friends to enjoy great food, drinks, and company.
